Anirudha Upadhyay

Anirudha Upadhyay is acting as Chief Advisor for Business & Innovation Strategy at VraiSense and guiding the team on standardising and optimising the product development processes through efficient and reliable digital transformations.

Anirudha completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India (VIT-Vellore) and Master's degree in Micro-engineering Technology from Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL-Lausanne), Lausanne, Switzerland and did his Stanford-LEAD program (Specialisation in Leadership, Management & Strategy) from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB), Stanford, California, USA.

At VraiSense, he applies his core-expertise in precise engineering and market intelligence exposure for driving scalable business strategies with GF Machining Solution, UNESCO, Meggitt Sensing Systems, The Boston Consulting Group, IBM and IGCAR, Anirudha understands it well that the world's problems need a "Good-Design-Thinking" approach before starting the journey of mammoth digitalization.

Before the inception of VraiSense, the core founding team has extensive research-pathways including the exposure with ISRO, IIRS, NASA, United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UN-OOSA), Syngenta, IARI and IPFT at the background that enabled the development of sound understanding and critically helped in designing the robust sensor-design schemas, Data Management pipelines and allied consultancy. VraiSense has been precisely guided and strategically curated by Anirudha, now tending towards the mission to launch the well-engineered and dedicated product-lines..

To sharpen and to scale the multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary exposures in transforming a product into business Anirudha has completed his management degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB), Stanford, California, USA, which focuses on Leadership, Management & Strategy. In addition, while conceptualising and advising the founding of VraiSense in DACH-region to one of his school class-mate, Lalit Saini, now an electronic engineer coupled with data science and automation proficiencies with comprehensive international exposure, he has been working as Global Market Segment Manager after serving as Global Market Segment Manager for Electronic Component & ICT/TMT at GF Machining Solution at Biel, Berne, Switzerland before serving in other important roles at Greater Chicago Area and Geneva for the same company.

Anirudha’s passion and instincts for bringing more clarity and innovation at the interface of Industry-4.5 and Industry-5.0 with his extensive exposures and firsthand experiences in truly international and industry environment around the operational-robotics and reliable-artificial intelligence has compelled him to translate it at scale through VraiSense. He remains cool and calm with a laser focus approach towards mission at hand whether it is about planning, implementing, executing, and delivering the prototypes or transforming an idea to product to business model.

During academia period, Anirudha has been awarded with several fellowships including EPFL Excellence Fellowship by EPFL, Switzerland (that was once awarded to Albert Einstein, a Swiss-American theoretical physicist of German origin); Graduate Research Fellowship by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India and Summer Research Fellowship by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India before getting the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Scholarship by Government of India, India.
